I can't describe the hurt I feel. I first met Hambone when I became a Union Rep at BP. Ed took me under his wing and showed me how to be a successful rep. He spent months showing me the ropes. He always was there for the rank and file. I never met a stronger union man than Bone. When I became the Union Safety Rep he was my go to safety rep. He truly fought for the safety of our Union brothers and sisters. He never backed down. He and I made several trips to Indy to stand arm in arm for our rights. When we retired we were asked to start up a SOAR charter. We did that with pride for our retirees, Bone was my president, I was his vice. He always joked that I was his only Vice and I to him, my Prez. There's so much more I could say but enough to say he was a true friend and I will miss him terribly. I will always have great memories of our time together. May God find a special place for you Prez.

I am in shock right now. I was the Maintenance Manager at Amoco when Ed became a Union representative. We had many meetings and conversations together about issue and even went through contract negotiations. Ed was focused on doing the right thing for his members. I became very impressed with his ability to work on issues and to resolve issues. We both built trust between each other. I just talked to him last week. God Bless you Hambone I am sure we will meet in the future. Ric
