Uncle Bob was always happy. It was always exciting to visit their home in CP with the big swimming pool, hot tub and pin ball machine. Sanibel Island has so many stories but one in particular will always stand out. While we were visiting, he and my Dad (Lou Mayden) thought it would be a good idea to take the small sailboat for a spin. We waited all day for them to come back. They ended up across the bay, sunburnt to a crisp and only had enough cash on them to split a grouper sandwich. At least that's the story we were told. There are many fond memories fishing in Ohio, and watching Notre Dame games. But I will always remember how kind and happy Uncle Bob always was. My deepest sympathy to the family and friend. Go Irish Uncle Bob!

My deepest condolences to the entire family. Uncle Bob was an amazing man, full of love, generosity, and great advice, I know where my dad gets it from. He offered many life lessons that I still remember today. He was the patriarch of our family. I’ll never forget Notre Dame games, fishing in Ohio, trips to Sanibel, and jet skiing with him. He touched many lives and will be missed.
