I was Art’s UPS driver for a time. Always enjoyed spending a few minutes talking with Art. He allowed me to hunt deer on his property which was a very nice thing. I’m now retired but have good memories of Art and Gerry.

Very sorry to hear of this news. Dr. B was one of my favorite people. Whether it was him taking me out fishing on Lake Michigan or attending Purdue basketball games (despite me being an avid IU fan!), he was just fun to be with and a good friend. Will miss him very much - he was a super person to know.

I just want to send my condolences to the Beckman family. Growing up, Dr Beckman was a cornerstone of the Crown Point community. He was a friend to my family, extremely generous to me personally, and he also happened to be our eccentric doctor. I always carry a little of Dr Beckman with me from the scars left from his stitching my wounds. So much love and Blessings to his family Mrs Beckman, Leah, my friend Kevin, and Becky.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I was so sad to hear of Dr Beckman's passing. I had the honor of working with him in LaPorte at the Urgent Care center. He was the last doctor to see my son Evan before he passed. Dr Beckman showed up twice at the funeral home. Once at the viewing and then at the funeral for Evan. Such a great man to work with and we had a few laughs too. He will be missed.

Dr. Beckman was my dad's best friend, and by default, my Uncle Art. He was a second father, and helped mold me into the person I am today. The Indian burns, handshake takedowns, and fishing mentorship were outshone by all the wisdom and love he passed on to me and my family for 50 years. He is legendary, and will be forever missed.
