Prayers for the family. Dr Jacobus was a very special gentleman. You would go to his office for treatment and he would never fail to keep you entertained while you were there. His faith was always reflected and readily shared. He was always a delight and you always felt better and encouraged when you left the office. Though I had not seen him in several years, my wife and talked about him and his wonderful sense of humor often. He will be missed by his family and friends. We will continue to think of him with fondness. Please know that our prayers will continue to lifted for this very special family.

I remember the missions trip to Ghana, West, Africa with Arlyn and Marlene. We took an extremely long trip up north in a van. We packed the van out with people and luggage. Arlyn and Marlene sat right behind our family. Our son, Seth, was only 9 months old at the time. We were all squished tight in the van with no leg room. I remember how impressed I was with Arlyn and Marlene. They never complained. They were very gracious to Dan and I as young leaders with a new baby. I will never forget the kindness and love that they showed to Dan and I. Over the years, Arlyn and Marlene would let us know when they were in Colorado, and Dan and I would have a meal with them. Even if a few years had passed since the last visit, we just picked up where we left off. We always looked forward to their visits. Arlyn and Marlene have been a tremendous support to us over the years in many ways. They always made us feel loved and valued. I'm sure that Dan was greeting Arlyn at the Heavenly Gates. What a wonderful time they must be having together in Heaven! Thank you, Arlyn, for inspiring us to be all that we can be and to live life to the fullest as long as we have breath.

We shared so many good times together and I cherish the memories. Know that I think about you often and keep up with your posts on Facebook. May God comfort you in the weeks ahead. Love, JoAnn

Arlyn was one of my heroes of the faith and I told he and Marlene that. I remember vividly the enthusiasm he showed when he would talk about his mission trips to Africa. When he was 80. We should all stay so young.

May the Lord comfort you Marlene and your family. Arlyn was like a dad to me! I received many words of wisdom from him. He was funny, compassionate, and a prayer warrior. He loved the mountains and SNOW! I would always say in the winter time “it’s time for Florida “! He would tell me I was crazy. lol. I love you Dr. Arlyn and will miss you deeply!
