Dorothy Louise Ballogg (nee Griffith), age 97 of Portage, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021.

 

Born in Gary, Indiana to Carey and Mary (Antusak) Griffith on August 24, 1923.  She married Thomas P. Ballogg on August 2, 1946.  She was a former Employee of U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Tube, 1st Presbyterian Church of Gary, and L.B. Residential Management.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Alexis (Joe) Lierman and Kerry (Hugo) Lindner; four grandsons; Mike Niloff, Troy Niloff, David (Jackie) Saviola, Hugo Lindner IV; great-grandchildren: Morgan and Macy Niloff, Emma Rhodes, Quentin, Ella, Addie, and McKenna Saviola, Brianna Condes.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband.

 

It is Dorothy’s wishes to have a private family burial at Calvary Cemetery.

Kerry, Hugo, Alexis & Joe sorry for the loss of you mother and mother-in-law. Mike , Troy & David Hugo Jr. sorry for the passing of your grandmother. To the great grand kids sorry for your loss too. She was a beautiful soul and always pleasant to be around. First time I met Mr. Ballogg he had a big cigar and Dorothy was all dressed beautifully . it was Christmas time at their apartment in 1964 (I may have the date off a little) but her Christmas Tree was so amazing I had never seen one so elegant just like the lady she was RIP Dorothy
