Donna R. Yuraitis, age 76, of Claypool, IN, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021.

Donna is survived by her children: Patrick Strickland, Marvin (Theresa) Strickland and Pam (Jack) Phillips (nee Strickland); several grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends: Kimberly Strom and Larry Frain.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Yuraitis; parents: Everett and Genevieve Jentzen; and brother Alan Jentzen.

Donna was a member of the American Kennel Club. She was a well-known and respected breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs “Shelties”.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point, IN.

I know it has been nine months since you passed and went to heaven. I only knew you seven short years since I got my boy, Mac, from you. I think about you a lot and miss you so much. Talking to you nearly every night on the phone about all the plans we had with our dogs, I miss that so much. Know we made sure all your pups had good homes and are doing well. My Mac may be a daddy soon. My girl is due on May 6th. My perpetual calendar is still on July 26th since you passed and will stay on it in remembrance of you. I treasure all the items I received from your house. I especially love the big picture called "the Secret Place" with the little girl up on a chair and her Sheltie with his feet on the chair too. It is hanging in my bedroom and I will cherish it forever. I have your Danbury Mint Sheltie plates on my dresser and I use your wicket a lot to measure my grooms. Hope soon I will be using it to measure my first litter of pups. Enclosed is this picture of you and a big pack of shelties. This is how I hope you are now spending your time in Heaven.
