So very sad to hear about this. I have fond childhood memories of Uncle Donny. He was always joking and trying to lift your spirits in one way or another (then and recently). Living on the west coast I only had minimal contact with him later in life. He always reminded me that he was my godfather and that he was there if I needed anything. I never took him up on it, but it was always comforting to recall his offer. I will miss you dear uncle.

Donnie was my best friend, as my cousin, as a boy. We did almost everything together....that includes all kinds of mischief at the "Shopping Center" in Glen Park. WE drove the Easter bunny crazy with out squirt guns, what a pair we were! Sooooo many memories the two us have had! Don and I played softball together into our late 20's. He the shortstop me the left fielder! What a combo, we deceived many a runner into trying to stretch a hit...we'd nail'em every time! Time escapes us all and I am saddened to realize how it steals those we have loved and shared so much with... by causing us each to be so consumed by our own lives that we forget to remember and reach out until that opportunity has passed by Good bye my friend, my cousin, my reflection in the mirror, you meant more to me than I can ever put to words One-on-One football....our favorite thing Get ready Donnie, I got that football on the 1 yd line and I'm puttin my best to runnin you over, plz, ok, come on cousin lets do this...together one more time, I promise you win this time! Ohhhhhhhhhhh how I wanna go back to be there with you Your friend, cousin, and cohort in mischievous doings Roy

Donny was a great neighbor and friend for 31 years. Every chance Donny got, he would tell a joke or tell you how life was for him being short. Donny was very kind and loved his family very much. As neighbors, we helped each other out with whatever project we had going on at that time. we liked sharing our veggies from our gardens. I loved Donny's Stuffed Peppers! He would walk one over to me and I couldn't wait to eat it. Donny will be missed. and we are so blessed to call him friend and neighbor.
