Dear Kathy, I just found out about Don. My heart is broken for you my sweet friend. I remember when we sat in class our Senior year at Bishop Noll and you were dating Don. You were so in love with him. I remember asking you if you were going to marry him and with a beautiful gentle smile you said, "YES". I watch the video and what beautiful memories. Your children and grandkids are precious. Our prayers are with you and your family. I love you my sweet friend. Patty

I was Don's pledge master when he joined the fraternity. During his pledge ship, I got to know Don very well. He was always respectful, kind and considerate. Don always had a sense of humor and carried a smile as well. I knew someday he would become our chapter president. I am sadden to hear of his passing. Don Camp will be missed so very much. Knowing Don, made me a better person. I know he was a spiritual man, a good husband and a good father. Don loved to golf and I wish we could have spent a few more rounds together. May the good Lord receive Don with open arms. RIP brother Don. We pray for your family and friends. Keep us in your prayers. We shall all be together again for eternity. God bless everyone. Amen!

It saddens my heart to learn about Don. I have always had the up most respect for my fellow brother Phi Sig. Don always had a smile on his face and a big heart to boot. I will miss his sense of humor and his witty character. Knowing Don Camp had made me a better person. Truly a family man who loved his family and kept God close to him. RIP Donny! Coach

Don was hands down one of my favorites. He was the warmest of souls and always was welcoming to my entire family. In fact, we always told the kids that if there was ever an emergency to run and tell Mr. Don... he would help. I will sorely, sorely miss the garage chats, the occasional cigar and the fatherly advice. Please give a big hug to ALL, as we too miss him already. The Grapers

I met Don 50 years ago as a pledge to his Fraternity. I recognized even at that young age, that he was a person of class and character. Over the many years since then, Don has continued to be an example and inspiration to everyone that's been fortunate to know him. Don showed us how to be gracious in our blessings and resilient in our tragedies. Well done Don, Well done....and thank you.

There is not enough "sorry" to patch the universe sized hole/s your family has endured... That being said, I am so very sorry. Camp's this is for all of you - but mostly, Lisa. Your dad is present in my oldest memories as a "father figure"...and you know how much I love my dad so I don't use that term lightly. Never judging, always listening, smiling, encouraging, sharing, joking, inquiring - caring. Always so caring. I'd like to offer this small silver-lining. Your dad's warmth stretched beyond the room he was in, it radiated. His energy was always so full with love - I can't see that going anywhere in his absence. Heck, I can still feel him when I think about him-I am pretty sure everyone can. What a gift those feelings are. What a gift he was. What a gift each of you remaining Camp women are. Now back off, universe! Sending all the love I can muster, today and forever. xoxo

For over 70 years my brother Don and never had cross or angry words with one another. We always played together, laughed together, and helped each other. Through the best of times and the worst of times we always found a way. Together with our brother’s and our beautiful wives we had beautiful children and grandchildren. God called you by name, and you are his in heaven. (Isaiah 43:1). Our days dwindle down to a precious few, but we will always remember You. Don was, No-No, Don is, my “Baby Brother”, and my very best friend.

Donielle and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Dad sounds like he was a wonderful man. He reminds me of my own Dad who I lost suddenly many years ago as well. The worst part was not being able to say goodbye. The best advice I can pass along to you is keep close all of the memories you cherish, and your Dad will live forever in your heart. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your immeasurable loss. You and your family are in my prayers. I love ya honey, Chris Duffy

Leslie Camp left a message on April 30, 2020:
Don was such a warm, loving, and generous person that it is impossible to enumerate the wonderful and caring effect he had on the lives of those who loved him, and those whom he loved. It is so hard to comprehend the sudden loss of a truly fine man. I have many joyful, funny, and heart-warming memories of him. Most especially I remember how he took on the role of brother and protector of three very young children who lost their mother. He taught us to be fair, to explore the world beyond our yard, and to be a true friend. Though we will all miss him, his smile, his great bear hugs, and his goofy chuckle, I know his loving presence will remain in our hearts forever.
