Diana was my son's LRE teacher at Salk. She helped our family through so much. She was one of the most loving, caring, and beautiful people both inside and out. She will always be remembered in our family. We are heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Welch family. May she rest in peace.

Diana and I worked together at Salk. She would fiercely advocate for children and devotedly worked with them on behaviors and academics. She often talked about Alyssa and enjoyed doing anything with and for her. She shared information on where to find dresses for prom and homecoming as well as doctor referrals with me. I lost cell phone contact with her and never got to participate in those meals she continued to share with Dian. I know she was sorry to leave Salk - but felt she needed to devote her energy to family at that juncture. You have have my sympathy.
Susan Grasham left a message on November 22, 2021:
My office was located at the NWCooperative when Diana was a preschool teacher in Crown Point. We shared many laughs and hopefully solved some problems. She always showed dedication and concern for her students. I was so sorry to hear of her passing but know your family will hold her memories forever in your hearts.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I met Diana when she came to Aunt Doris’s house, my neighbor, over a year ago now to organize and get assistance in the house to help Doris. Diana worked very hard over there and was such was a sweetheart. Giving me goody bags for helping Doris when I could. Seems like she was thinking of others before herself. So sad that she was taken so early. Rest In Peace Diana.????????????????????????????

Diana is one of the kindest, caring co-worker/friend I’ve ever known. I will never forget her positive impact on a troubled student who only responded to Diana. She was funny, smart and loved her family, always so proud of Alyssa. So very sorry and keeping you in my thoughts, heart & prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Diana's passing. I remember Diana as my sons preschool special education teacher. She was amazing with the children and my son is now a 35 year old man who is now a successful healthy and completely independent adult. The help of Diana and the other staff made a huge difference in my sons future after he had a significant health issue as a toddler. Prayers of comfort for the family during this time of loss.

Diana and I worked together for many years. She and I were both just starting in special education. I was her paraprofessional and I learned a lot from her or as she said we’re learning together. We had so many good times, laughs and some tears too. She was a good friend. Don and Alyssa I’m so sorry for you guys. She will missed.❤️
