Deborah Jo Heneghan, age 66, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022.
Deborah is survived by her husband of over 45 years, Jim Heneghan; 7 children; sons: James and John; daughters: Julia, Janel, Jo Anna, Jenat and Jillian; their partners: Jessica, Nate, Gyungwook, John, Gabriel and Matt; 16 grandchildren; sisters: Joan and Sandy; mother-in-law, Joan Heneghan.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents: Hoyt and Evelyn Putnam; brother, Greg; sister, Jane; twin sister, Deanna.
Deborah was a dedicated homemaker and was a member of the Lake County Master Gardeners and St. Mary Catholic Church. She loved gardening, painting, sewing, antiquing, reading, cooking and baking. She also loved performing arts, church choir and coaching athletics.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point, IN.

I remember Deb as always smiling when we gathered at family events. She never failed to say something warm and welcoming to me which I always appreciated. We shared a love of gardening and nature -- she knew so much! She shared her planting tips and her food with such generosity. She loved being a grandmother and being around her large, growing family. I am so deeply sorry for the family's loss -- Deb was such a talented, charming and beautiful woman. She will be sorely missed.

My mom and Debbie's mom Essie were first cousins and I used to accompany my mom as a kid when she visited Essie. I remember the twins dashing in and out as active teenagers and I enjoyed our brief time catching up at Essie's funeral. I can't imagine the depth of your loss.
