Daniel Jay Gleason

Daniel Jay Gleason, age 57, of Cedar Lake, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at his home. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Jodie Gleason; daughter, Jenni Pause; son, Derek Suzanne Gleason; Brian Pause; grandchildren, Bryce Pause and Lucas and Lily Gleason; mother, Lorraine Hulsey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Suzie and Donnie Meyer, Jenni and Charlie Jackson, Phil and Sharen Meyers, Jimmy and Carolyn Meyers, Jeff and Meghan Meyers, Blanche and Thom Schmidt, Mary Meyers, and Marlyn Guss; mother-in-law, Lil Meyers; numerous nieces and nephews that were all dear to his heart; and special cousins, Pat Vaughn and Jerry Spangler. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel J. Gleason; father-in-law, Docky Meyers; sister-in-law, Debbie Guss; and his beloved, Esther. Daniel worked at Rock Tenn for 35 years as a Sr. System Analyst and was a member of Pheasant Valley Country Club. He was an avid golfer, owned a second home in Gun Lake, MI and was a season pass holder to Walt Disney World. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2:00 PM until time of Prayer Service at 5:30 PM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave./ E. South St. 2 blocks east of Broadway Crown Point, IN with Deacon Gregory Fabian officiating. Mr. Gleason will then be taken to Lawrenceburg, IN for additional visitation and funeral services.
