Condolences to Dan's family. Dan was a really nice person who was a pleasure to work with. You could see that Dan really enjoyed police work and was always a professional each day he came to work. Before the pandemic, it was nice to see him at the FOP Lodge meeting. He surely will be missed. Patti Van Til

Karen Bane left a message on February 8, 2021:
Mr. Bursac was and will forever be a huge impact on me. He is the reason I went into corrections. I wanted to be able to make a difference in peoples lives that were in prison like he did as a police officer. And I hope that I did that for a few of them. It breaks my heart knowing that he had to leave everyone but I also know that one day everyone will see him again and for that I am grateful because I can tell him thank you. So until that day we meet again....EOW 2-4-2021 fly high Sir we will take it from here....
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Nancy & family, I am so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I am so glad that I got to see him & you a few years ago when you came to Fargo. We had a nice visit & a good time. This Co-vid 19 has been so devastating for so many people. After loosing my sister, Mary, last October it made me realize just how precious life is and how we should cherish each day with our loved ones. You are in my thoughts & prayers.

The one thing that I remember about Dan is that he always took time to listen to you. It did not matter what the subject was, he seemed interested in your opinion and in you as a person. Dan and I were on the Sheriff's department at the same time, Dan was a true Professional and will be missed by all who new him. Rest Brother your tour of duty is over.
