CARLOS ARAMBULA, age 71 of Valparaiso, IN, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Survived by wife of 13 years, Nancy; two daughters: Antoinette Azcona, Natalie Simic; six grandchildren: Kevin, Art, A.J., Elena, Miranda, Elizabeth; great-granddaughter, Emma Grace; three sisters: Mona (Tony) Jimenez, Lucy (late Jesse) Cantu, Eleanor (Robert) Grochowski; brothers: Frank (late Irma), Jesse (Tila), Silverio (Angela), and Mario (Socorro) Arambula; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Silverio and Nicolasa Arambula; brothers, Augustine and Henry Arambula.
Carlos was a graduate of Froebel High School, Class of 1964. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was instrumental in opening the Porter County DAV Chapter #102. He was very active in DAV Chapters #14 and #17. Carlos was a past State Commander of Department of Indiana DAV, 2008-2009 and a charter member and Commander of Military Order of the Purple Heart, Porter County Chapter.
Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be 11:00 am. Saturday, January 13, 2018 from Pruzin Brothers Chapel. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to DAV Chapter #102.
