Carl D. Cox, age 86, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.
Carl is survived by his children; Debbie (Alton) Ellis, Lisa (Charles) Tucker; grandchildren: Jamie Ellis, Jeff Ellis, Karla Akemon, Anthony Bailey; brothers: Richard, Paul and Virgil; sisters: Wanda and Sue.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Cox; parents: James and Vada Cox; brother, Jerry; sisters: Lexie and Joann.
Carl cherished his job as a superintendent over lakes and rivers for 38 years at Jack Gray Transport. He was also a member of Hobart Assembly Church of God. Carl was an avid diner patron and he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service at 4:00 pm.
