Mom McKee. Hands down the neighborhood cool mom, the fun mom. She always treated me and included me as if I were one of her own. She made sure there were outings, making and sharing good times, the simple things, the outdoors. Theres not one word to describe her or her influence. The classics of course, kind, funny, giving, loving, selfless. The one that is on my mind today is genuine. From her huge heart to that beautiful smile that lit up her face and everything around her. Even in her last years, those that weren't fortunate enough to have known her before the illness caught glimpses of her " love light". What a powerful light to be able to shine through that terrible disease. My deepest, most heartfelt condolences to her family for their loss. Of course you will always miss her. At times it may seem unbearable. Eventually the smiles will come more often than tears. That light of hers wouldn't want it any other way.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My mom was voted unanimously the best mother by all my friends! She was the best cook ever. Growing up our home smelled often like Thanksgiving. She was an award winning seamstress. She could play beautifully the piano and the bugle. She loved waltz music and Yanni (Yiannis). She owed Dr. Zhivago on VHS. Momma loved her roses! And her mint growing outside our kitchen window. Her dad loved her reading him the Bible and she loved reading it to him. Her mom and sister would go to the city and shop while she was a Tomboy working on the farm with her father. She had fond memories of laying on top of Bossie, their cow. Soon as she earned a dollar she would go to the Lake County Fairgrounds and rent a horse to ride. She always put others first. I never knew anyone who knew her not like her. At the end of her long life she lived in the here and now. The most important time we have. But, I thanked her for the memories and the future she made better ! ! !
