Benjamin J. Haynes, age 87, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
Benjamin is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Haynes (nee Kostell); children: Lori (Randy) Polovitch of Hampton, GA, Michelle Haynes of Merrillville, IN; grandchildren: Scott (Reagan) and Steven Polovitch; brother, Bill (Sharon) Haynes; precious cat, Koda; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Sue Haynes; and brother, Bob Haynes.
Benjamin enjoyed bowling, fishing, and listening to country music. Above all, he loved spending time surrounded by his pets, friends, and loving family.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services, 6360 Broadway Ave., Merrillville, IN 46410 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Benjamin’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
