Barbara Brzoska

Barbara Brzoska (nee Roszkowski), age 95, of Hobart, IN, formerly of Merrillville and Gary, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023.

Barbara is survived by her children: Donna (Jim) Savka, Casimir “Casey” Brzoska, Gigi Brzoska, Janet (Richard) Mihal, Teresa (David) Novak, Debbie (Philip Bryan) Brzoska, and Annette Meeks-Brzoska; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-greatgrandchildren; sister, Theresa (late Emil) Titak; and her many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kazimierz “Casey” Brzoska; son, Ted Brzoska; daughter, Barbara (Trifon) Magrames; and four siblings.

Barbara was born and raised in Gary, IN and was a graduate of Emerson High School, Class of 1946. She married her husband Casey on November 18, 1950 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church and began their family together. She was active with the Silver Bells P.N.A. Lodge 2365 and also with American Legion Post 207 and VFW Post 1563 with Casey. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who would do anything for her family.

Private Services were held for Barbara’s family. She was laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
