Milan "Mickey "Chestovich left a message on March 2, 2017:
It is with deep sadness that I write this note. Cousin Arlene was a kind and loving person whose memory I will always cherish. Periodically over the years our lives would intersect. Whenever those happy moments would occur I was reminded what a truly special person she was. I will miss her.

My heart is heavy from losing my good friend and neighbor Arlene. We never knew each other until we were neighbors, but we had a lot of connections from living in Merrillville. We got along so well and we had the same sense of humor, we had a lot of laughs. She loved her home and her garden and I will always miss her smile when I look at her house/garden. I will miss her. She also loved her family so much, my prayers to all of you. Rest in Peace, my friend. God Bless.

My heartfelt sympathy to Kathy, and the entire family. Your mother, my dear friend, will always be remembered for her gentle nature, warm smile, and kind spirit. I shall never forget the great times I shared with her. Mother's hold their children's hands for such a short time, but their hearts forever. Arlene will always be in our memories and hearts. May this truly lovely, and spiritual lady rest in peace. My deepest condolences.
