ARLENE J. KERSTEFF (nee Chestovich), age 79 of Crown Point; formerly of Merrillville, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

She is survived by her three children: Kathleen (Stephen) Place, Karen (Harold) Morgan, Dr. John “Corky” (Debra) Kersteff; six grandchildren: Brooke, Amanda, & Sydney Morgan, Alec, Michael, & Ryan Kersteff; sister Mary Ann (Roger) Lineberry. Preceded in death by husband John; parents Nicholas & Josephine Chestovich; and brother Nick Chestovich.

Arlene was a parishioner at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, where she also served as Eucharistic minister and greeter. She was a graduate of Tolleston High School, worked as a cashier at Ross Clinic, and in later years was an employee of the Lake County Government Center. She was an extremely devoted mother and grandmother and was blessed with many loyal friends.

Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service (6360 Broadway, Merrillville) on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. DIRECTLY from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (200 E. 78^th Ave., Merrillville) with Rev. Michael Place officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church 1/2 hour prior to Mass.  At rest Calvary Cemetery in Portage.
