Preceded in death by his brother, Ted Traczyk. Alfred was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He was a retired East Chicago Policeman and a member and past President of East Chicago FOP Lodge #59 and a former Trustee of NW Indiana District State FOP. Alfred was a member and PER of B.P.O. Elks, Highland Lodge 981, a member and past Grand Knight of Msgr. Connelly Council #1700, and a 4th Degree member of Abraham Lincoln Assembly. He was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School. Alfred was a co-founder of the Indiana Harbor Little League. He was a member, former supervisor, and a past Board Member for Advance Federal Credit Union. Family and friends may call at Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point (south of St. Rd. 231 on St. Rd. 55) on Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a Elks Service at 2:00 p.m., Prayer Service at 5:30, and Knights of Columbus Honor Guard from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:45 a.m. from Pruzin & Little Chapel and 11:30 a.m. from Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 7667 E. 109th Avenue, Crown Point with Rev. Thomas Mischler officiating. At rest Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville.
